Taw Valley Crafts, started by Vaughan Lane in 1996 as a small operation in a shed, has grown substantially ever since, now occupying a modern factory unit at Roundswell, Barnstaple and providing employment for 10.

We are a family business, with 3 generations of Lanes now working within the operation. Vaughan remains as Managing Director, with his son Chris being chief joiner. We employ skilled craftsmen who have worked their way up and have learnt every aspect of the trade, and we also ensure the future of joinery by taking on an apprentice each year.

We take pride in the work that we turn out, and pay great attention to listening to what our customers want. The majority of our work comes through recommendation or returning customers, and we have many testimonials bearing witness to our high standards.

We aim to provide a full service, from a detailed initial quotation (with CAD drawings if applicable), right through to fitting of the finished product (again if required).
